Senator Lesniak is the father of legal sports betting and internet gaming in America. In 2008, as Chairman of the Senate Economic Development Committee, he saw the dark clouds on the horizon for Atlantic City’s casinos and the racetracks at Monmouth Park and The Meadowlands. Thus began his journey, starting with an appeal to members of Congress to repeal the federal ban on sports betting, PASPA, which got nowhere, to filing a lawsuit in the Federal District Court of New Jersey, sponsoring a Referendum on sports betting which was overwhelmingly approved by New Jersey voters and sponsoring legislation which made its way to the U.S Supreme Court, which declared PASPA unconstitutional. Senator Lesniak also recognized that most of the action on sports betting would be on line and he sponsored that legislation as well.
Senator Lesniak is not a one trick pony. He sponsored significant environmental protection, criminal justice reforms, LGBT rights, including marriage equality, legislation and won an international Human Rights Award in Normandy, France.
After retiring from the New Jersey Senate after forty years in the legislature, Senator Lesniak founded The Lesniak Institute for American Leadership which advocates for the initiatives he championed in the legislature.
His memoir, Cultivating Justice In The Garden State, with an Introduction by Bill Clinton, is available through Rutgers University Press and all major retailers.

Kelly Brooks brings her extensive tech leadership expertise to the table as the CEO and co-founder of Quarter4.
For over 20 years she has been a technology evangelist, driving the development of hundreds of innovative software applications across North America, via her first award-winning mobile start-up, SpeakFeel. Her unique approach to drive business hyper-growth with progressive tech landed Quarter4 Inc., a big data and deep learning neural network, into the most exciting sports betting era known-to-date.
Kelly is a proven strategist in team growth and development, tech evolution, start-up scale, key partnership and investor relations, as well as thought leadership and transformation. Quarter4, founded in 2019, exists to continuously transform the sports gaming space with the most advanced and predictive real time data and user experience products available
Kelly earned her BSEE from the Colorado School of Mines and her MSEE at Colorado State University. For over 18 years, she was responsible for leading and directing teams of innovators, researchers, engineers and product go-to-market teams to drive over a hundred of new products to market for Hewlett Packard.
A life-long sports fan and former athlete in high school and college, Kelly was fed up with the lack of really good tech for fans watching live sports. Everything changes in just seconds in sports, and it was frustrating that the tech available to fans was not able to keep up with the game! In 2017, inspired from her work in building supercomputers for high tech – she wrote the first lines of code for what ultimately became a lightning fast ML/AI kernel for nVenue’s real-time analytics engines.
Joining forces with some awesome co-founders, Kelly left her job in 2019 to go hard after her dream to change the world of fan engagement through live technology. In 2021, thanks to the Comcast SportsTech, NBCUniversal, and Boomtown – nVenue was able to break through barriers in the sports tech industry. Today that tech is enabling the ultimate in fan engagement – sports betting in micro-moments.
Entrepreneurship is a family effort in the Pracht house! Kelly and her husband Rob have 2 children and 1 grandson. Together with Kelly’s mom – the entire household is subject to spontaneous white board lectures on machine learning, have watched 100s of Astros games in the last 3 years, and serve as ‘pitch coaches’ and ‘beta testers’ on any given day! But they are all having a blast!
