The objective of this Marketing InFocus track is to stop for a moment, zoom out of the performance marketing box and look at the bigger picture. As an industry, we are often consumed by daily execution, keeping up with regulatory changes and it’s easy to lose sight of the long-term vision. Where are we now? Where are we heading? How do we get there? This track is built with CMO’s and Senior Marketers in mind and structured like a proper marketing plan; we start with market orientation and customer insights, then use those insights to define our strategy, which then again informs our tactical layer and execution. In addition to being inspired from a host of top-notch Brand and Marketing thought-leaders, come and network with your Marketing peers, make some new connections and talk as much nerdy Marketing stuff as your heart desires

This session is all about zooming out, having a clear map of the battlefield and only then deploying resources for maximum impact – but how do we get there and what are today’s best practices?

Why it it that other industries can invest in brand as well as short term measures but we can’t? We know the 60/40 investment rule but how do we get even remotely close to it? How do we prove direct business impact from brand investment? Can “fluff” be turned to “fuel” in our industry?
